About the series

Clara is 12 and lives in Copenhagen. One morning a big black cat leaps at her and scratches her, and afterwards strange things start to happen. She can understand animals, and animals come looking for her.

It turns out that Clara is a wildwitch, just like her aunt Isa, and she has to learn to live with the wildness, with nature and with the old rules that come with it. At the same time, someone is very interested in her: the dangerous Kimera.

The series is exciting but also warm, and it links fantasy with nature and animals in a way that suits younger readers well. It has also been made into a film.
