About the series

Meryn Cooper’s sister has been taken across the border, and Meryn wants her back. She joins the army and enters the Bonding Trials, where soldiers are bound to war beasts. She is bound to a wild dire wolf, and all of a sudden she is visible to the wrong people, not least the crown prince.

The books are hard and fast, full of training, war and a strong bond between human and animal.

In Danish, each book is split into two parts, so the first book is called Dire Bound: Første del (Part One). The series has adult scenes.

The books in the series

  1. Dire Bound - Første del and Dire Bound - Anden del (Dire Bound, 2025)
  2. Fury Bound - Første del and Fury Bound - Anden del (Fury Bound, 2026)
  3. Ruin Bound (out in 2027)

My thoughts

I listened to it, and the bond between Meryn and the wolf is the best thing about it. An animal you’re bound to is something I always fall for in fantasy.
